1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the VoIQ mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By installing, signing in, or using VoIQ, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
VoIQ is an AI meeting copilot. The app captures audio from your device microphone, streams it to a third-party transcription provider, and produces short suggestions during your conversation using a third-party large language model. You are responsible for the conversations you record and for obtaining any consent required by local law from other participants before recording or transcribing.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use VoIQ. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Accounts
You sign in using an email address and a one-time code. You are responsible for safeguarding your email inbox and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
5. In-App Purchases and Credits
VoIQ uses Apple’s In-App Purchase system to sell consumable credit packs that unlock transcription and AI suggestions within the app.
- Credits are consumable and are deducted as you use the Service.
- All purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple’s standard EULA and refund policy.
- Credits are non-transferable between accounts and have no cash value.
- Unused credits are non-refundable upon account deletion.
- Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple via your purchase history.
We may change credit pricing, the number of credits in a pack, or the consumption rate of the Service. Material changes will be communicated in-app before they take effect; they will not retroactively change the balance you have already purchased.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to record any person without the consent required by applicable law.
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or violate the rights of others.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app.
- Use the Service to build a competing product or to train machine-learning models.
- Abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt our infrastructure or that of our sub-processors.
7. Intellectual Property
VoIQ, its branding, the mobile application, and all underlying software are owned by us and our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Your Content
Audio that you capture, the transcripts produced from it, and any prompts you submit are your content. You grant VoIQ a limited license to process that content only to operate the Service — transcribing, generating suggestions, storing transcripts you choose to save, and providing support.
9. AI Output Disclaimer
AI-generated suggestions are provided for assistance only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or contextually wrong. You are solely responsible for what you say and do in your meetings. Do not rely on VoIQ for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service depends on third-party providers including Apple, Supabase, AssemblyAI, and OpenRouter. Your use is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for failures, outages, or actions of those providers.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via the Account Deletion page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability) will survive.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of transcription, or non-infringement.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoIQ and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for credits in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or via the effective date above. Continuing to use the Service after an update constitutes acceptance.
